JDF In Action

COVID19 changed our world and our giving. JDF volunteers gave away more than 150K in goods to those in need during the pandemic lockdown and after the lockdown was lifted. We made deliveries directly to the homeless, to homes, we arranged for pickups, and sponsored multiple Community Giveaways.

The pictures below tell part of our story. See all The JDF giving stories by visiting our YouTube channel, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHS3bj6mOVUqNgTHkFZrRiA, and in our monthly newsletters The JDF Footprints at http://www.jdffeet.org/newsletter/ .

We gave away hundreds of shoes and foot care supplies in 2019 and we LOVED every minute of it! We also recruited two very dedicated podiatrists whose volunteer services have made history! We LOVE what we do.

Members of BBGM, VFW Post 341  and JDF Board members all working together to provide backpacks, socks, shoes, shirts, and foot care supplies to homeless veterans this Christmas.

Our Executive Director, Carolyn D. Jenkins partnered with Samaritan’s Feet in June and helped distribute 1000 pairs of shoes.  Samaritan’s Feet volunteers wash the customer’s feet and provide them with new socks and shoes.

Meet other partners in service, Roz and Kathy, posing quickly before we begin washing feet.

Do your feet hurt? We’re working to help ensure you can get medical care. Contact us at thejdf@jdffeet.org

Meet Miss Frederick 2016, Sarah Robinson and Miss Frederick’s Outstanding Teen, Kendal Neel as they help distribute shoes.

The JDF partnered with Soles4Souls and collected 100 pairs of new and gently used shoes in October. These shoes will be recycled and given to those in need.
